Dental Services

Macomb Teeth Whitening, Dental Implants, Veneers

Dr. Teno and staff offer a full compliment of dental services to maintain your oral health. Since we are passionate about your oral health, each patient has access to Dr. Teno 24/7.

Training at the exclusive Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI) makes us uniquely qualified to service your cosmetic needs. As a routine part of our practice, all patients are provided with warm scented towels, lip balm, and multiple hygiene items to take home

Comprehensive Exams & Cleaning

All new patients to our office will have a review of medical history, head and neck exam, oral cancer exam, tooth-by-tooth evaluation, appropriate radiograph and dental cleaning. Depending on your dental situation, these cleanings can range from traditional one appointment dental cleanings to 2, 3 or 4 appointment cleanings with anesthesia

Looks can be deceiving! In the mirror, your teeth and gums may appear to be in good condition. Only X-rays and a professional cleaning can allow for early diagnosis of developing problems that are invisible to you. To protect your "smile investment", we need to see you on a regular basis (2-3 times per year) to maintain your optimal dental health. My staff of 3 hygienists will do an excellent job in educating you in proper hygiene techniques. They are also board certified in anesthetic delivery. Upon making an appointment, information forms will be mailed to you to complete at home rather than wasting your valuable time in the reception area. Once at our office, do not expect to wait for your appointment. We strive to be on time!

Pediatric Dentistry

We love children and have been treating families since 1982. Through advances in bonding techniques, we can now raise children without unsightly silver filings. If caught early enough, most cavities can be treated without anesthesia. Placement of sealants on emerging permanent teeth can also prevent potential cavities from forming. Our hygienists will be happy to explain preventative measures and sealants to moms and dads.

Root Canals

No longer is the need for a root canal procedure the "horror story" it once was. With recent advances in rotary instruments and sealing techniques, most root canals are completed in one appointment with minimal post-operative discomfort. The need for a root canal is due to deterioration and/or infection of the pulp (nerve) of the tooth. This can be caused be deep decay, excessively large and deep fillings or cracked and broken teeth. Trauma to the mouth and face can also cause the need for root canal treatment. Extreme pain to hot or cold, pain while chewing and throbbing toothache are all symptoms that may be addressed by root canal therapy. We will also advise most teeth that have root canal therapy to be followed up with placement of a full or partial crown for long-term protection against fractures.

Restoration of Implants

While this office does not surprisingly place dental implants, we do restore them. Following a visit to an oral surgeon for implant placement, you would return to our office for proper restoration of the implants with either crowns, bridges or dentures. This is rapidly becoming the state of the art in dealing with missing teeth. We will be happy to discuss different implant options with you.

Porcelain Veneers & Bonding

Veneers are thin layers of porcelain laminated directly to your teeth, giving you an over-all "smile-lift" and a whole new, improved look that will last for decades. Bonding uses life-like materials to quickly and easily fill in chipped edges and gaps between teeth.

Life-like Crowns, Bridges, & Dentures

Crowns made of new, natural-looking porcelain and composite materials means there's no more unsightly metal margins at the gum line. New materials and more life like denture teeth allow us to fabricate dentures or partial dentures that look great and feel comfortable to wear. For those patients having trouble with retention problems, implants provide the best solution to retain a denture by either screwing directly to an implant or "snapping" onto an implant bar. We will be happy to discuss these options with you and work with an oral surgeon to plan your case.

Micro Air Abrasion Drill-less Dentistry

This instrument utilizes the same principles as sandblasting, but at a microscopic level. A small hand-piece discharges microscopic aluminum oxide particles at high speed to gently abrade shallow areas of decay in children and adults. The preparation is then filled with traditional bonding techniques. This procedure is also useful in gum-line cavities and to eliminate unsightly "white spots" from teeth. This is all done without the use of local anesthetics. No drills, no shots, no pain!

Cosmetic Services

Now you can experience the confidence that beautifying your smile brings. Advances in cosmetic dentistry now make it easier than ever to have the smile you always wanted. We can show you how we can improve your smile with many new and innovative techniques. Tooth whitening or bleaching has become faster and easier than ever before. Most people can experience 3 to 5 shades whiter using our bleaching techniques. Tired of the "metal mouth" look? New tooth-colored filling materials make it possible to replace old silver fillings with life-like materials that perfectly matches your natural teeth. Why not invest in your smile? It is your most important asset

  • Whitening, reconditioning and polishing can smooth out rough edges and provide a bright, white, symmetrical smile.
  • Crowns made of natural looking porcelain and composite mean no more unsightly black metal margins at the gum-line.
  • Bonding uses life-like composite materials to quickly and easily repair chipped edges and gaps between teeth.
  • Veneers are thin layers of porcelain laminated directly to your teeth, giving you an "extreme make-over" - a new, beautiful look that will last for decades!
  • A beautiful smile can make you look good, feel confident about yourself and can be done quickly and painlessly.
  • Cosmetic work will not be cemented unless you are totally pleased with the result!
